how do you stop an R6 from boggin?

how do you stop an R6 from boggin? got an 02 R6 and I'm doing slow shi7 and if it's up there too long I can feel it about to stall 
got my idle upto 4k. Should it be higher? Do I need a catch-can? Let's hear it from everyone out there rockin the R6 nice and slow. Thanks,

also, most bikes don't have very good throttle response under 3k rpms until you adjust the jetting (carbed bikes).
