OK like title says I picked up an f4i and the fuel pump always primes. It doesn't just prime for a second and then stop like normal. I pulled the tank and noticed that the wire coming from the pump is plugged in but a couple other connectors aren't and I cant see anything they would plug into. I know the tip over sensor is bypassed if that helps. I've tried searching but only find things about them not priming. I need help I don't want to burn up a pump

 

I think the pump runs until it builds up a certain amount of pressure. I know f4i fuel pressure regulators go bad a lot, maybe yours is shot, so the pressure never builds up.

What happens if you hit the starter while its priming?

 

Its starts and runs just fine its just that whenever I flip the kill switch on the pump never stopspriming

 

maybe a miss connected wire. Or like Mike said.. a bad pump.
