LOL. I'll probably get out today if it doesnt rain. I want to learn how to do it smoothly and its just not smooth. When I clutch it I'll give it little more. Even when I try to power it up it just pulls hard and by that time I'm flying. I only powered it up once and that was about the same height it just went further.

this all sound to familiar. i am new at stuntin were all in the same boat. i can do power wheelies but i want to slow things down and be in total control. i am at 8k rpm and clutching from a dead stop and i can get it up around 11oclock and for about 10 feet but then it comes back down. (but it is comein down smooth not hard) so im lost at slow wheelies? but i aint givin up. any pointers would be great tire pressure? rpms? clutchin? what should i work on first

Yeah well you're probably not at balance point yet... I notice when I'm riding a wheelie, in the first few seconds that I have the bike up, it is really easy. I think it has a LOT to do with the front wheel spinning (gyroscopic force and all that ****...) but once the wheel stops, the bike begins to come down, unless you get even higher. So yeah you need to practice some more and do that.

Yo when you hit bp does the bike all of a sudden get light?

Yes it does. Oddly enough, the bike will feel wicked light at bp, however there's like this cutoff point where your just light at bp, or it always feels heavier... its weird...

i can't believe i just read all 24 pages, why som many newbs and squids giving advice then never coming back to stuntlife?

I've been trying for a few months now. Everything really does take practice. i started doing sit downs to get used to the feeling, never hit bp, but was consistantly getting to a reasonable height but wasn't progressing very quickly with my throttle control. now i'm starting to do staggered standups, so back to the drawing board. For all the other newbies out there, don't talk/act like a squid, read and then practice. read some more then practice. and put some decent time in to it.

If you feel like your gonna loop it's cos your body isn't used to the feeling, film it and get comfortable at that height before moving on.

I've thought i was going off the back a couple of times, yet everyone i see rides further back that that anyway

Exactly. Balance point is a lot farther back than it feels. My .02 for all the noobs.

i read every word... i'm workin on my wheelie skills... i like to think that i'm up pretty close to bp most of the time but i know i'm not cuz i've never had to slow down a wheelie... always accelerating out of 'em... guess i need to grow some ***** and get that tire way up there...lol
thanks for the advice... already got a f-in ticket for a wheelie... f-ing undercover cop cars... didn't have the chance to run... ...lol
oh well, i guess it's worth it...
is there any state where wheelies are legal? cuz i'm movin there if there is...lol
