Wheelie and Stoppie advice plz

Sup all, Just looking for some advice from you veteran stunters out there!

Just got my bike semi setup... Cage, 12-Bar, Clip-ons, sprocket...

Are stoppies hard without a stabilizer? Or not recommended?

Any advice for slowing down wheelies? I pretty much chase em down the highway but want to slow em down and start scraping the bar

Thanks in advance!

any stoppie over 40 mph you should really have a damper and the only way to slow down a wheelie is to go higher and if your gonna go higher you really need to learn rear brake control ..

scraping will be easy once you learn balance point wheelies so i suggest you concentrate more on learning to control the bike in a wheelie and worry about scrapping later ..

buy you a 50 or you will be posing on your bike or selling it soon. dnt think that bar will save you its not as forgiving as a tail piece

5 last year pretty much off the front brake now cant wait to get my 06 636 done be a whole difrent world on a lighter bike you can also tighten your sterring head berring if you cant afford a stablizer it will take some time to get use to but it kinda works

quads are great for learning brake control so you are ahead of the game already and i have flipped a few stoppies

most people i know learned on a big bike , a 50 isnt really a necessity

tightening the head bearing is bad advise , a damper is cheaper than a hospital bill

Re: Wheelie and Stoppie advice plz

definitely gear up ..lol

i see alot of people start by doing poppa stoppies but i actually think coming in a little faster and picking up a little slower is safer compared to coming in slow and trying to get the bike up as high as you can ..

if you gradually pick the bike up while rolling instead of just popping it all the way up at a stop i think you will have more control and you will be less likely to flip ..
