I have a 01 f4i i removed the front end and need to know what to do about the two big holes one on each side you can see right in the air box cuz i removed everything i was told to put a sock over one side. that letting all that air get to the motor will make it run shitty over time any suggestions dumb question

 

ok here is what i did let me know what you think? On one side only not both other side is completely open. I took a piece of thin metal and made a outer ring piece to hold sock in place the sock is not doubled over and yes the sock had a whole in it before i used it So with the sock cut up i put it aroud metal trim and used 4 self tapping screws to hold in place. let me know what you think i think my bike runs awesome
