ANYBODY GOT A GOOD FORUM ON SWITCHING OUT THE CLUTCH LEVERS ON A 2002 F4i.

Well i tried to tackle it myself and kinda stripped the flat head screw(just a bit)That damn thing would not spin more than 3 turns, then it was extremely hard to loosen. could i have bent the screw when the bike fell on the clutch lever and thats y it wont turn anymore? HELP PLZ!!!

It really isnt that hard at all. first loosen the lock nut at the end of the cable down on the right side of the bike, i think its a 12 or 10 mm wrench. then you can take off the cable on the old lever with ease. Then unscrew the bolt to the perch and the lever will come right off. Then just put the cable into the new lever and fasten the bolt that holds it to the perch and then readjust the other end of your cable to desired tension level. should take approximately 1 minute.

to get that bolt out you can alwas use a vice grip

i dont mean to sound like an ******* but, if you dont have the mechanical aptitude to tackle a lever swap, maybe you should bring it to a shop for safety reasons....
