rear break control help-

im getting pretty used to bp but as soon as i tap the rear brake it brings me back down, and if i dont hit the brake i'll scrape and lose my balance, so do i tap the rear brake or give it light constant pressure?

Re: rear break control help-

Try higher idle if yours is low, light taps definately and a habit or instict I had to break was that when I would hit the brake I would naturally close the throttle, had to learn to keep it steady and smooth and get smooth and gentle with the brake. Otherwise throttle brake throttle brake...chop chop chop.

Re: rear break control help-

I learned by riding the brake and throttleing through it. Just don't do it for long periods at a time because you can get brake fade, although I've never gotten it. Once you get used to using the brake and throttle, you'll slowly learn to lessen the use of the brake and control the throttle more.
Thats what worked for me.

Re: rear break control help-

light taps on the brake + try being very soft with the gaz, so that you don't alway need to use braking
