Help w/ Elevator

I've been doing Christ Air's (on the seat, my tanks not dented) for a couple years now and have never had a prob...I'm thinking about trying an elevator (elevator shaft???) (jumping from pegs to seat into a Christ Air). I tried it while my bike was on a rear stand and it seems pretty easy...seems like if i **** up i can just fall back down on the seat.
Do any of you have any advice for my first time doing one? Are they really as hard as they look? Does the bike start to wobble a lot every time you jump to the seat? Thanks guys.

Re: Help w/ Elevator

Personally, I like turning up my idle high in 1st gear so I can jump to elevator, acid drop, pull up a high chair. I used to do it in neutral, but I don't have as much control b/c the bike veers.

Re: Help w/ Elevator

common people...can i get some real advise other than just do it? I already know how to do the Christ...I just need pointers on jumping from pegs to seat....do you spread your arms for stability? Do you land squatting or standing? Is it as hard as it looks? etc...

Re: Help w/ Elevator

like already said...turn up your idel so you have a forward pull...put it in like 2nd gear....and ******* jump....its not that far....as far as landing just land like you normally land a jump...a little bend to the knees....

as far as doin christs on you seat...its bad enough to be doing christs....do it on the tank...i did it on the tank way before I dented mine so thats no excuse....

Re: Help w/ Elevator

you will get more help if you go out and try it first and get some video and then come back with specific questions on why you crashed.

Re: Help w/ Elevator

check this out this is me about almost four years ago....about 1/4 through (45secs....) you see me do an elevator up close...like everyone said just do it....bend you knees to absorb some energy so the bike doesnt change direction too much and using idle is def earier than neutral...

i never got good enough to clutch up high chairs in neutral...
as for the elevator, you should be doing them onto the tank, not the seat. if an elevator is gay, what youre doing is richard simmons. the key is to jump evenly off of both feet and land evenly onto both feet.

Sorry, I didn't word that very well.

NOW: I use 1st gear, crank up my idle so I can combo my acros.

BEFORE: I used to only do "elevators" in neutral but I didn't like how wobbly it was and I obviously couldn't do an acro combo.

Redline Jimmy says to make sure you dont accidentally kick the bike into first gear when you jump
