Elevation sucks

I recently moved to vegas where the elevation is considerably higher than that of where i was from in cali. Now my bike runs like ****. I have a '00 gixxer 750 so i would think the fuel injection would make up a little for the elevation change, but it hasn't. I have a huge flat spot and my power is considerable lower. I can hardly get it up in first gear. (power wheelies) and i have to be real high in the "r's" in second to stand it up. I know elevation can make a difference....but this plane sucks. The power difference is so great i am worried there is something else wrong. The other bikes in this area cant possibly run this bad. whats up?
any thoughts or comments are preciated. Thanks all!

I just moved back to cali from Vegas, and I noticed a significant gain in power and rideablilty there. If I were you I would take your bike to Desert Motorsports on Tropicana, off the strip. I used to work there. Talk to Kenny Gavin, he was my boss, cool ****. He knows gixxers really well. I am thinking you have a jetting problem now... But yeah I am gonna be there next week, probably work for a week at Desert. But you should get down there and talk to Kenny...

When I was there, I had to rev the **** out of it to get it up in first, and bounce and pull and yank and pray to get it up in second. Back here in cali, it just comes right up in second...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just get a power commander and do it. Then you can clear up that dead spot. Lean that spot up or richen it depending on what it needs...

elevation

No problem up here in the mountains in colorado. I think my bike came tuned to cope with the elevation.
