staggerd wheelies

alrite so i was trying em last nite for half hr before the rain hit. now couple questions.. when i bounce it, do i just bounce the forks only, feet as well? im sure i was messin something up because a few times i would get it barely off the ground my front would shake. not bouncing evenly? now i figured i wasnt ripping the throttle, guess its in my head. can i loop it straight from from slipping the clutch and just ripping the **** out of the throttle? and last thing the body position. i feel like all the way up in the air. do i just bend my legs and just pop my *** back to the point where my arms are straight? and are there stunters out there that are over 6'5?

naw man youll get it. you gotta give it more seat time. clutch it up til your forks are parralell to the ground

Re: staggerd wheelies

you shouldnt have to "rip it" too hard. i dont know an rpm to tell you bc i just listen to the motor. just mess with it for a while @ different rpms and get a feel for it coming up (and cover the rear brake). once you get the forks up there(parralell) then use the brake and throttle accordingly.

Re: staggerd wheelies

At the minute you don't need to bounce, just practice, sitting back in your seat, and flicking the clutch at about 5000rpms. get used to the front wheel lifting, and progress from there. Take your time, don't rush and wear your gear

Re: staggerd wheelies

I had the same probs and looped, sounds like you rushing it I asked the same ques and now that I can do it I can't ans them it just feels right If it helps try to be smooth with the clutch, dump it and roll on the gas at the same time don't jerk anything. But first dude before you try it again, spend 30 days learning brake control even if you have to remove your front brake lever and ride only with back cos the first time you get the forks parallel your foot will be off the brake trying to save your *** which wont work so slow down .Also if you clutching it up properly you shouldnt have to bounce.

There is a difference between slipping and dumping your clutch, if you dump it you will loop imediatly, you want to slip it which is just barely disengaging the gears and then letting it slip out and grab when your in high rpms, make sure you dont dump it

Re: staggerd wheelies

I'm still learning too, but the guys at AtlFreestyle have been giving me pointers while I am out riding at the spot with them. The thing that helped me the most was slowing down...start at like 5-10 mph, stand up, no bounce, just barely disengage the clutch, give it some gas and smoothly let it back out kinda fast. But I start at like 3000 rpm, slip the clutch up another 3k rpm and then let it back out. Try it 1000 rpm at a time till it comes up for ya. You'll get it. But don't do it alone, try to find some stunters in your area that can help give you some pointers. Then if you do loop, you have someone to call 911!

what gear r u doing this in?

and thanks to everyone else.. i kind of figured even with all the advice, im still going to find sme middle ground on how ill do em. and i definantley wont dump the clutch. just enough to get into the friction zone.

Re: staggerd wheelies

I learned back brake by putting my foot on rear brake pedal first , try to clutch it up , if the pedal pressure is to hard it wont lift , if the pedal pressure is too light you learn to hit the pedal harder quick! peace
