Re: how to air box mod f4i

if you have a t to replace it with then yes you can just move it out of the way and the holes you block are on the bottom of your air box where the crancase vent tube use to go and where the hose from the factory t use to go

should be no different on 929/954/600rr/1000rr, as far as the mod goes. physical look might be different

I'll give that a try. Also when I did the mod I did a bunch of other stuff to my bike,so that might be the reason I didnt feel a power gain,

Re: how to air box mod f4i

I think i'm going to do this mod, not for better bottom end or hydrolocking prevention, but to get rid of that big *** valve so I have more room to tuck my wire harness in.

lol, the mod itself took me like 15 minutes to do in total....but finding a local store that stocked a T valve that big took about an hour

wow

fyi, i was only able to fit my headlight connector back there....i still have signal relay, and the 2 gauge connectors just hangin on the side...it actually wasn't that there wasn't enough space back there....just that the wires weren't log enough to put back there.

Re: how to air box mod f4i

So it's 1, 2, and 4 to the T.. and just toss #3?

And DT, what size fitting did you get? I don't want to have to pull my tank then go searching for one..

NAGS - its a 3/8 fitting - it shows it in his pic and I did the mod too but I could only find 1/2" which was to big.

Re: how to air box mod f4i

btw, don't toss #3...use it as the hose of the bottom of the T....u actually toss the shorter hose which used to go where #3 will go now. (look at my first pic)

and if i remember correctly, i cut a small piece of #3 cause it was a bit too long...just a little tho...maybe an inch or two.
