well were not saying the same thing, your saying the more gearing the better and i am saying moderation. im not a newb hater by any means but your cocky know it all attitude draws the hater out in me. dont be so adomant about advice giving when you still super green behind the ears. u need to take more advice than your trying to give. you dont gotta get up a video to prove anything to me.

no it lowers the speed at a given rpm. say for example if you have +5 gearing and at 3500 rpms your rollling at 10mph if you geared it +10 then at 3500 rpms your speed would drop down to 7mph. hypothetical numbers of course but u get what im saying. think about how higher gearing drops your top end capabilities, before i geared my bike 65 mph on the highway was like 6k rpms now its like 7500.

Look, I understand what your saying about being conservative, and like I said I was joking about the 70t but I'm not gonna lie I wouldnt mind going from my setup to say a 55-60t.....It just makes some of the more technical **** that much harder when you have mild gearing....and with all do respect I am new to riding, but I am by no means a squid so you can just get off my **** as far as giving advice goes, I cant rock O's and I cant jump stall to spreader but for the couple months that I have been riding I would say I'm doing pretty good, and I spend a **** load of time in the lot!!! And I have no problem posting a video, I just dont have anything recent maybe I will get some stuff this weekend

Re: Stock Gearing

Ive been +16 on my 03/04 stunt bike for 3 years straight now, I just built a stock street 03/04 and Im only +3 on that.....Now after riding the +3 for a week I got used to it and really like it, now Im thinkin of reducing the gearing on my stunt bike too....

Its weird cause I can sitdown no hander better on the +3 then I can on the +16 .......Its just such a smooth bike since its pretty new and hasnt been stunted by anyone else yet...circles are about the same now that Im over the fear of stalling the stock bike....At first I was really worried about stallin and dropping it without a cage

The fact is once you get to that certain level you dont really need alot of gearing on these 636's they pull hard stock.......

what makes u a squid is not how long youve been riding but your know it all attitude. you cant even do any tech tricks yet you think that u know what makes tech tricks harder or easier. you dont know, and thats it. by the looks of your post count and your join date you need to do a whole lot less talking and a whole lot more riding.

-1+6 is what i am going to be....right now im -1+3....probably wont make that big of a difference, i feel like when i sit down to spreader or something like that....if the front gets low i have to really gas it to get it back...i want the gas a little more responsive touchy i guess

ya know man thats somewhat of an ignorant statment, people dont always have to be as good or better then you to point out something your doing wrong.....ex. I cant jump stall to spreader or merk to spreader, but I can tell you that you need to cover one finger on brake and one on clutch....i was the first to reply and my reply has been backed up...so to say that I give advice about tech tricks I cant even do, I have a job where I'm on computers alot and I can spend alot of time reading on this site which is what i do...browse old posts on how to 12, how to ralph louie, how to work hb n clutch. .etc...so before you get all prideful that someone that isnt as good as you gives you advice why dont you stop to see if maybe there onto something, hell I have gotten advice from people that were worse then me.....it doesnt take much skill to look at someone that is a good rider and compare them to a bad one and notice the differences bro!!!!
