Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
ohh.. i also tried using 2 fingers on the clutch.. didnt feel comfortable.. but i was using 3 fingers all day.. and having my pinky wrapped around the bar is a good guide for the rest of my hand... helped out too... thanks!
Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
IVE NEVER TRIED the rear peg thing...when i put my feet there to get a feel for it i felt awkward...should i just go for it?Any thing i should do like lean forward? And what do you guys set your idle to?
Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
My idles already set at 4000 rpms.... You think i should bump it up anoter 500?
once i get 100% comfortable with bp i think the idle will be a little different... The majority of those wheelies i tapped the break to take it out of bp cause im still not comfortable with that floating feeling... But its getting better every day..
ill keep on working at it..
my rear peg had to be removed to brace the subframe and they are really flimsy..i dont trust them lol

Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
still a little choppy on the throttle but youre getting better. all you have to do is get your wheel a little higher... most of time you were chasing the wheelies
Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
try locking you left leg.. and lean off the bike.. all your weight is up front.. prolly making it hard.. and your hitting the brake alittle early.. you wanna pass bp then tap, not hit the brake.. lookin good tho
Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
you need to get a rear peg it will be alot easier to balance the bike from side to side. it feels akward on to wheels but comfy on one wheel. eventually it won't matter about body postiton but learning i think it would help
Re: -video- wheelie progress.. day 2
yep.. i definatly still need a lot of practice lol.. i locked my leg once.. and it felt soo comfortable but i can only lock it when i feel like i'm in total control of the bike.. once i get a little more control with the bp i think locking my leg will be easier
i tried using my rear peg when i still had it installed.... didn't like the feeling at all.. its to unstable and i'd be constantly thinking about it snapping.. my seat is very secure.. i'm going to try to stick with the foot in seat.. my main problem right now i think its the height.. balancing hasn't been a real problem yet
i know what balance point feels like on my street bike.. finally! i wont post up any more vids until i am hittin slower wheelies

Dude...
straighten your left leg, you will get more control over the bike , lean back a bit with your upper body, you look like you are layin on the bike and you need to relax a little.
Get a easy pull clutch and learn to clutch with 1 finger... 3 fingers is too much!! I cant see how you physically do that hehe but your grip on the bars will suffer.
lastly, turn your idle down, your throttle control is fairly choppy at the minute and it will suffer big time if you learn on a 4k idle... turn it back down to about 2/2.5 and learn to smooth it out as this helps big time with going slow.
Hope it helps... keep at it!!
