I dont know what to do next....
Re: I dont know what to do next....
i think i read on here some where when doing one/no hand stuff you need three points of contact. i think they were refering to stag, ss, fis(foot in seat)
Re: I dont know what to do next....
Just so you know, 1 hand stuff is a lot harder on the rear peg compared to foot in bar, foot in seat or foot on seat... I'd reccomend learning one of the above first then you are more supported and in a better position to take your hands off the bars.. im not saying it isnt possible staggered, its just a lot easier FIB etc.
I'm a slow learner...so I could be working on these couple little things for weeks....BUT... it'll still help break up the monotony of just practicing nothing but Slow stand-ups for a jazillion hours . Thanks
Re: I dont know what to do next....
Noted.... Thank you ....and that makes sense.... I tried to launch one FIB the other day....and it went too crooked too fast.... where is the easiest place to Step to ...from staggered ?

Re: I dont know what to do next....
I'd say learn to clutch with left foot on seat rather than trying to step to it.. I tried both when I was learning it and stepping up is really difficult to get right when you are learning it. Just put you left foot sideways across the seat, rest your left knee on the tank then clutch it up.. do it 100 times until you get used to it and over the fear... it will wobble, it will feel weird, but if you do it enough it'll be fine!!
I do find that it makes your leg ache a lot though! especially when you're learing it. so foot in seat might be a better option (and dont worry about it being too euro
)
Once you get used to it you'll see how its easier to take your hand (S) off.

, thats why I"ve been working on FOS. Never really thought much about them then it was like I have to learn how to do them. Guess thats stunting for you. Re: I dont know what to do next....
Sure is stuntin!! I always loved clutch jump to SS so had o learn SS first
thats how progression works though, set your sights high and work towards it learning the trick step by step.. oh and fall off lots whilst tyring

Re: I dont know what to do next....
Who cares.........the Euro's are killin it, ride how YOU want to ride. Be the first in that group to rock FIB......be your own rider.
Re: I dont know what to do next....
so I refuse to do it even though it would probably benefit me most because of my size. I was just being nice above.

[QUOTE=ExtremeAcres;2891633]ok...I hear what all of you guys are sayin'...and I think i'm catchin' some idle ( Idle is set at 3500 to 4000 ) and I'm regularily off the throttle...behind BP...lightly dragging my RB....for anywhere from 1 or 2 seconds to My longest which is about 6 or 7 or 8 seconds . (that is what you guys are calling idle , right ? no throttle input ?)
Yeah...I'm still having fun doing what Im doing...but Im trying to break up the repetativeness a little.... I can ride a No hander on a Quad for hundreds of feet....so I know the feeling of balancing my body (and not needing my hands)....BUT I cant find a position ...where I can lighten the load on either of my hands right now
...I'm probably just scared...and when I find the "next variation" I'll be kickin myself in the butt (like you guys) thinkin why didnt I do that sooner ? ...LOL
Thanks For your help help and suggestions

What got me to learn no throttle hand stuff was doing a regular staggered standup and once it slowed down to idle I would grab the front fairing and use brake and my own weight to keep it going. It took a while to get the ***** up to reach for it but once I did it was relatively easy to keep for bike going on just idle, brake and leaning/pulling back on the bike. Your idle might be too high too. Id try 3-3.5 k max. If your idle is to high your gonna be fighting it constatntly.

Re: I dont know what to do next....
Hey Joker, Whats ur height and weight? Cause I feel cramped as all hell (FOS). But I'm gonna try clutching it over and over again. But just when I put my foot back there I'm like "God Damn this is tight".
Re: I dont know what to do next....
This pic is the first time I tried it.
Re: I dont know what to do next....
Even at BP, I doubt your leg will be straight. I'ld either cut a hole in your pass. seat or get your legs shortened....LOL
Re: I dont know what to do next....
I'm not as tall as you, i'm 6'1''. I cut a hole in my seat and it works great, try that if you can't get that leg straight.
