Yup I'm a believer now for zip tie over night on the lever. I can now one finger lock up my rear tire compared to having to use two. An even when using that two I had to squeeze it really hard. Now I just gotta get used to clutching it up with one less finger on the grip.

I use a vaccuum bleeder everytime i have to bleed my brakes(twice a season) and brake fluid is "hydroscopic" which means it does absorb moisture...anytime the res' is left open for anymore than 12 hours just do the brake bleed with dot-4 or better, the moisture can ruin the insides of your calipers and can produce airbubbles in it when you heat that **** up using the HB....then when you go to use it your gonna pancake bro's.

and i say dot-4 cause it has a boiling point of 380'F or canucks...195'C...any lessand you will be bleeding brakes all day long....don't mix other brake fluids and throw away containers of fluid any older than 2 months that are already opened

Re: ** How to get the last little bit of air out of your handbrake **

does this all apply to the new full throttle cable brake setup as well?? please give me a few tricks to making this thing feel strong like i hear from so many people it has the potential to be nasty but i just cant seem to get good firm handbrake??
a few stupid questions
1. do you ever actually pump and bleed this brake system with the handbrake lever?
2. after you begin to bleed the bleeder on the valve should you switch back to the caliper bleeder?

Re: ** How to get the last little bit of air out of your handbrake **

Also, do you pull your hand brake ALL THE WAY TO THE BAR? Or just as far as it'll go in?

Becuase I THINK mine is bleed all teh way, but I might as well try this to make sure..

I can't get my hand brake all the way to the bar.. So should I crack a bleeder open for a split second to let it get to the bars?

are you talking about doing it overnight???? if yes....then NO, pull the lever in, get the zip tie started, then tighten the zip tie as much as you comfortably can, then leave it overnight.....it should push air up to the reservoir.
