Re: wiring signals

dumb?s but do you have the front harness pluged in or are you trying to make you own? the rear sigs should work with out the front ones hooked up so.... Are the fuses good?(under the seat) did you hook up all the grounds? If your harness ever hit the ground hard enoff (dumping the bike) you may have crushed/broke a wire. get out the ol 9volt and flashlite bulb and test all the wires going to to fuse box/ switch/ sigs.

you prob. removed a ground when u took off the plastic

well, the signals stopped working the instant i took off the upper and headlights. and i didn't wanna touch(cut) the light's harness so i did everything on the other side.

but to make things easy, think as if the main harness is just hanging there with nothing connected to it. (thats how its be w/ out acerbis and tipover)

the fuses are good.

ill do some testing this weekend and see what i can find out.

but just to be sure...in order for the REAR signals to work..i DONT need to do anything at/to the harness?

Re: wiring signals

if you did not cut anything it has to be a loose ground or broken wire. when I had my 01 f4i I busted off one of the front sig.s and the back worked fine. If all you did was unhook the lights at the conector try pluging them back in for fun and see if it helps probily wont thow. When my headlight bulb burnt out my sig.s still worked so I dont think its got anything to do with that.

If I remember right the juntion block on the right side? under the upper has a different amount of wires on the way in than out (may be thinking of a 929) check that...IE 1 on the bike side 2/3 on the light side... Or you may have wired the acerbis to the turn signal ground wire? and left the light harness side hanging free. if so rehook it up
try to undo every thing you changed wire wise
Good luck
