What should be the idle rpm of my bike for learning wheelies??

I am learning wheelies for two days...and i have noticed that as at 7k rpm i free the clutch the front wheel bounce up but comes down by a second or two...It is because i eventualy put the throttle down(it has become a habbit)

So please solve my problem telling me what should be my idle rpm ?????It is now only 1k..Should i increase it??

No need for idle when you're learning. You've only been at it for two days.

You must not be keeping on the gas long enough after you pop the clutch. It's all about technique. Just gotta practice.

When I was first learning wheelies, it took me many months to overcome my fears and the feeling of the bike getting really "light" and approaching BP. Just take your time. Being impatient will get you hurt. I've looped my little bike too many times out of rushing too learn.

Also, what gear are you practicing in?

And you're already off on the right track by clutching it up efficiently instead of pow pow powering it!

Use stock idle when learning. The reason being is that you have no engine brake when the bike has the idle jacked up. when your learning, you dont know the rear brake yet and you haveto depend on throttle control.

now when you have rear brake control down pat and youre ready for slow wheelies jack up the idle
