Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

I got busy last night ******* my g/f in the ***, so I will get pictures of the 636 head and valve cover tonight. I am going to slap a balloon on my r6 crank case breather to see if anything happens.

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

well i have never done one on an r6 but that looks like the way to go ..

did you cap off those two ports ? i used the stock t on mine but it looks like yours is gone so just buy a t fitting and put it in between those 2 ports and run another hose to the crank case breather port

but just make sure they do get ported thru the exhaust like on the 636

Not bein an *** but are you sure you did it right?

Did you cap all the lines coming from the throttle boddies?

I just can't see how it would make it worse when everybody else had better results including me.

I had to turn my idle down it was so strong. That was with stock exhaust then tho but I haven't raised my idle any since i put different exhaust on it.

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

on the back of the airbox where the crankcase originally there is that hole. well like thorpe said there isnt a vacuum plug big enough for that , but the biggest one i had fit inside of that plug super snug

do i have to worry about this moving ....

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

ok roger heres the low down... 636 is the same as the 03+ R6... there are no magical tiny ports into the exhaust... there is no where for pressure to go except straight to funky town. and the valve cover spouts are REED valve things just like 03+ R6 has... So the pressure put into the valve cover would transfer ALL the way back to the crank case, whys this you ask??? valve traing creats alot of wind from the cams spinning yada yada yada, why is the valve cover built to let pressure in ??? who knows... the valve retainer covers seel to the head walls of the valve train and the "exhaust" port spouts go no where except into the valve cover, and its mainly into the middle of the valve cover... any pressure put into the valve cover will simply travel back down into the crank case along with the timing chain through the transmission out the crank case breather back to the air box into the combustion chamber or back through the valve cover if for some unseen reason the ram air gets block the engine will more efficiantly run off its own blow by

Pictures are following now.

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

don't those two holes between the spark plug hole go to the exhaust ports ?

they are deffinetly ported to the exhaust because if i do an engine brake only spreader to the bar i get smoke out the tail pipe and if it were to only go to the valve cover then how does the oil get to the exhaust ?

and if it just went to the valve cover then it would blow out the gaskets the first time you hammered the gas to red line, and it doesn't

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

those two holes GO NO WHERE except right into the cam journals. and i have no idea why your bike smokes, or why it doesn't blow out all seals. im just letting you know there is NOTHING porting anything **** from the valve cover into the ehxuast.
