Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

using the filter on the end of the breather hose also makes it so you don't get the advantage of a vacuum in your crank case , it's free power might as well use it

you may have forgot to block off a vacuum line or the holes in your air box or forgot to plug some thing back in

Ignore the argument I had with a guy on there. He didn't understand how thhe mod worked and kept saying it would blow my motor. Eventually I posted a video and proved him wrong.

i just looked at that 636 link and assuming the zx6rr is the same..i eliminate the kleen air system completely(the square box thing on left side, the round one in battery/trunk area),block off vaccum line that went to stock kleen T,and then combine the fuel drain/vent into a T and run out the left side/fairing area???correct???

see the big hose in the picture above ,the one that has a black hose clamp on it and it isn't connected to any thing on one end ?

that hose needs to be connected to the big hose with the gold hose clamp on it in the picture below ,it also isn't connected to any thing on one end ..

ok now there is a little vacuum line in the first picture that goes to the back of the clean air valve thats the black plastic thing that the first big hose i talked about is connected to you need to take that little vacuum line off the clean air valve and put a long screw in that vacuum line and thats all you have to do to the hoses and lines..

the only other thing you have to do is plug the holes left in your air box that the two big hoses you connected use to go to....

you can replace both of those big hoses with one long hose or you can connect them in a number of ways but the objective is to by pass the air box....

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

cant really tell from your pictures but if you bypassed the air box , blocked off the holes in the air box and disabled the pair valve then you got it

Re: kleen air on my 636-good idea!

yeah I think I did it right because the bike didnt sound different

all I did was ran the hose from front to the back hose then I grabbed the lil hose to that t looking thingy and ran a screw inside it and blocked off the two hole to the airbox with screw and I think that it right?
