rebound/dampening setup for my bike
I have an 06' gsxr1000 and I have got 1st gear wheelies down and I am working on 2nd gear now. I can and do occasionally use the clutch in first when going very slow but in second gear I would rather bounce and power it up. I have not touched the rebound/dampening settings since I got the bike off of the showroom floor. Any suggestions on how I should adjust them for me. IF the rumor is true the preset the settings are to a 5'7" 150lb rider well I am 6'1"and 220lb. So please just give me your recommendations and if you could be so kind as to explain in good detail i.e.( start from all the way in or out and screw in or out 4 full turns etc.) please don't say 3 lines showing an two turns on the screws I will have no clue where your are starting from. The main problem is I prefer sit down wheelies while I am learning and in second gear I can get it up consistently it is just on the 3rd or 4th bounce it finally comes up I would rather get it on the 1st or 2nd one.
Also I have noticed when I am near the end of 2nd gear and going fast I get a lot of wobble out of the back the tire, it is starting to flatten out rather then a round profile any suggestions as to a good rear tire and psi that will last longer than 3500 miles (i.e. this is my daily commuter to work so I cant loose to much safety/handling on the freeway.
Thanks
