turning and circle wheelies

03 r6 with idle at about 3000, i cant seem to get a nice tight circle. i can do about a half to 3/4 circle but they are big ones!!! how do i get it so they are tight? what body position do i need? right now im putting my left leg in the subframe. how can a get the bike to go hard into the circle??? thanks

Re: turning and circle wheelies

it sound like your just steering circles. which isnt a true "circle" wheelie.

the farthest ive got is 3/4 and ive gotten that a bunch of times now. im giving up on them..at least for awhile. theres a lot more **** to learn.

BUT

when you riding idle try to rip it back behind bp and apply pressure to the foot on the side you want to turn into. at the same time pull the opposite clip on towards you. Im not a circle veteran...but this is the way i get it to dip. but then its like 2 more gas brake cycles and i **** it up. im not smooth enough yet.

Re: turning and circle wheelies

i get past bp and it does dip the problem is it feels like its gona stall or it goes too far back and i have to bail and let the bike back down. maybe my body / leg position isnt right. should i have my leg fully extended? should i b on top of the, leaned back/ forwar...???

Re: turning and circle wheelies

go out to a nice flat area make sure someone is filming it throw it up slow it down ,slower slower.k now crash 2-300 hundred times, and if you still don't gotem you probly never will but what you do have is good crash footage to send in maybe you can get enough for it to fix all the **** you broke while on your quest for circles seriously from myself and everyone around me it seems the only way to get these damn circles is to just try and try it's just like training yourself to use the rear brake while in a wheelie mind over matter..U got to commit to the circle that is key!!!! and look were ur going (inside the circle) and use very lil brake and dont be afraid of the gas its ur best friend in the circle!!!!! good luck! :YEAH

Re: turning and circle wheelies

I learned the quickest sitting down with my left foot down. Then I came in behind the BP idle at about 3k and steady brake, slow it down, let it fall in, then let off the brake to come around light on the brake again to keep it from coming back too far, but still stay behind BP, let off the brake, over and over. If it acts like it wants to straighten out then you aren't behind BP anymore.

Make sure you get use to pulling in the clutch as soon as you feel it start to highside, It'll save your *** and You need clutch control later so you can slip it.

I'm still learning them too but I can get about 3 sitdowns (feet on the pegs) and 3 foot in the seat.

I think I get too excited and loose concentration

Re: turning and circle wheelies

You have to be right behind the bp to get the bike to actually lean in for a circle.
