clutch setup
clutch setup
just thinking maybe my clutch isnt quite right, and maybe thats why i cant catch idle for long? noticed everyone elses bike makes a sound when idle takes over... well i can feel idle catch, but never stays/takes over, and you never hear that sound (you all know what sound im talkin bout) i set my clutches up so where i only have to pull is about 1/2" to disengage the motor, and pop it easy w/ 1 finger.... doesnt seem to slip any, as i can clutch them up easy, and rock 1st gear /2nd gear as long as i want... i can slow my wheelies down, and almost stall the bike trying to get idle to take over (nothing) i also try clutching right up and trying to let idle catch (still nothing) i get tired of trying it since im getting no where... it would seem this would be the easiest thing to do. maybe it's just me, but im thinking maybe it could be the way my clutch is setup?????
Re: clutch setup
more slack? why?
i been trying to clutch up and just let idle get it, but was having better luck (getting closer, and acuallyt feeling the idle TRYING) rining first slow, and slowing it down to almost a stop
guess ill just hafta keep @ it

Re: clutch setup
been thinking, and if i got my idle up and it's not trying to make me loop, and me having to fight it w/ the brake then the idle isnt trying to take over, and it's not something im doing wrong
Re: clutch setup
keep practicing--stay light when you use the brake--when i do them im not even on the brake at all just using my body-maybe skimming the brake just a little and if it comes back a little too much i just ease into it a little more nice and easy--i would'nt call it tapping that just upsets the balance of the bike when i do them.
