Here's what happened...

Just went to start up my bike...NOTHING.

So, thinking the battery is dead, I roll started it...

It started but is cutting on and off.

I get back home, and my switch that I had the headlight hooked up to is smoking...I unhook it... It was straight off the battery to the switch then to the light.

I try to start it...Nothing, then I get a clicking from the starter relay... I replace the starter relay... I still get the same clicking...AND THE FUEL PUMP IS NOT PRIMING...

okay, we know it's prolly not the ECU because it prolly wouldn't have roll started...ALL MY FUSES ARE GOOD.

I haven't found any melted or smelly burnt areas in the harness yet.

You think it's in the harness, a short in the battery, or something else?

Also, what if the battery discharged so much that it will only click the relay...? Seems like the fuel pump would still try to prime...

HELP! I got shows to do!

 

Sound like a dead cell in the battery? Have you tryed to jump start it? or swap batteries/...

Fuel Pump Not Coming On: Ignition Switch(or Diode Inside), Right Hand Switch Assy, Safety Circuits(clutch Switch, Ss Switch). If Your Headlight Harness Was Smoking Try Jumping The Required Wires Before The Connector On The Main Harness Side. Sounds Like You Are Over Thinking It, Look For The Easy ****.

 

Thanks for the advice everyone! I found 2 wires that were grounding out, and my battery wouldn't take a charge. Got it all fixed now... It was a pain in the *** finding the wires... There was no melted area or odor...but I found em... Hells yeah.
