Stuck at 150ft
Re: Stuck at 150ft
you are right.
ok for the help now
pick a speed you are ok with not to fast though. put a cone at the take off point. i like to start in the same spot all the time gives me confidence the tire will grip. go the same speed every time. easy into the brakes at first dont just yank on them need to load the front wheel. also helps to throw your weight foward. oh yeah and dont drop your elbows keep them nice and high. now this is the tricky part that no one can quite help you with. steering it a mother ****er to get down you need to push on the bar that the back end is comming around to. so if the back end is drifting left push on the left bar. right on the right bar got it. ok as far as how high you will know when you are to high you will get that oh **** feeling hopefully you let off the brake in time and that wind lol j/k and you come back down. thats all i can help you with other then go and pratice with someone that can roll further then you. watch what they are doing and one more thing pratice pratice pratice. that is all the wisdom i have on stoppies. i went from a 50' stoppie to 400' in a few months over the winter. hope something i said helps

Re: Stuck at 150ft
some good advice there
something I found when I was concentrating on endo's was that to go further I found myself just starting faster... worked up to a point but then couldnd get further...
then I took it right back and start and went for height from a 1st gear - practicing the basics first again, then building up the speed helped overall.
a real short run up forces me to get it up near BP asap too.

chest, tank and tail catches alot of wind. 75 mph winds hitting all that ABOVE the "pivot" point would cause a "Resistance" ABOVE the pivot point which ='s A Higher Balance point for a limited Time, through out the duration of the stoppie
Maybe it wont "change" the balance point in gravity aspects but in resistance it will give more "lee way" in height.

It doesn't matter where the wind resistance is in relation to the pivot point. Re: Stuck at 150ft
so your saying that a 20mph stoppie balance point is the same as 100mph stoppie?
im talking about tail hieght. u cant bring a 100mph stoppie higher thena 20 mph stoppie with out flipping?

Ok, imagine that speed does raise the balance point for stoppies like it does for wheelies that maintain speed. Balance point for a wheelie is probably 2 feet lower at 80 mph. Now if the balance point was that much higher for a stoppie at 80mph, don't you think that the people who are pushing the limits on stoppies would be getting that much higher at the start? Yet those guys are saying that they are barely on the brake at all during the entire endo, but they never get higher than what they are at near the end of the endo.

Re: Stuck at 150ft
still think true BP is higher the faster you go. no one rolls BP stoppies because you cant truly balance a stopie you can only go so close as to use very little brake. try to balance a pencil on the point and you will see it will fall sometimes foward sometimes back. if someone was to try to get it that close they would flip every other time. even if you are on the brakes .000000000000000001% that is enought to keep you from fliping if you let go because you wont be at true BP you would have been slightly under it. go try some experiments and get back to me.

Re: Stuck at 150ft
if you think wind has ne effect on balance your an idiot.. Go do a wheelie in a parkinglot and then go do one at 200kph.. Guess what happens when you put it at the same height. You will loop that 200kph soo fast. You can even feel a difference between 180, 200 and 220.. Its night and day.. Seems you parkinglot stunters and your +11 sprockets have forgotten what its like in the wind..
