read my posts here again. Of course wind has an effect on BP wheelies where the speed is maintained. The engine is under load just to maintain speed. Now if there is no power going to the rear wheel, ie. doing coasters, the balance point is basically the same regardless of speed. Same with stoppies...

I'm not getting involved in the other bit but this I'm interested in.

how can you go past BP on a down hill endo? I like the sound of tht - but are you talking u can go past BP TEMPORARILY - but then gather the bike back in by lett off brake and the front wheel rolling down hill, pulling it back to bp or past??? hmmmmm

The BP is the same on a down hill slope but gavity is pullin you down at a diff point. So you can go to BP and not be close to looping. I've heard and read that it's easier to learn stoppies on a down hill slope.
