NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
I can't pop a wheelie in second gear on my 05 GSXR 600. I slip the clutch and catch a tad bit of air but I would have to roll on the throttle really really hard to have it come up at all. I bounce the bike and it comes up but only a few inches. What am I doing wrong??? Also, is there a "how to pop 2nd gear wheelie clips online"?

Do I just pop the clutch??? No need to bounce the bike?? I'm on a GSXR 600. Also, do I need to pull the clutch all the way in? <---(I usually use only 1 finger to pull the clutch in.) Also, what rpm or speed should I be going before the bike can catch some air?
Re: NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
Im ridin on a 900rr. 1 tooth down in the front and stock rear. What i found out is if i bring my speedo up to 60mph/6500rpm, pull the clutch in(1 finger all you should use) and pull the throttle while letting out the clutch up it goes without a problem. Thats my second gear wheelies, dunno about anyone else. and try doing a stagard stance. it does feel VERY awkward at first but do it in first gear a couple tries then see how it feels in second. its MUCH more comfortable and easier to balance/steer.

When I raise it in 2nd I try to make my arms feel like they have very little downpressure against the bars then as I slip the clutch and yank like you want it to come up get a good slip on the clutch keep your body moving as it comes up raise it to bp. Timing is everything practice it will come.
Re: NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
i have a f4i. I bounce the **** out of mine and give it a good amount of gas. It took me awhile to get it up to decent bp but now I can't believe how easy I can do it. I just bounce and right when I start to come out let the clutch out while revvin it prettty good and it comes straight up. Only reason it took me so long is because I was used to doing 1st gear wheelies and didnt wanna loop it. But you definately have to rev it up more in second gear.
Re: NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
So it goes like this: Pull clutch in-bounce-drop the clutch-and rev the **** out of it? I won't loop it unless I roll the throttle back all the way right...??? Or can I loop the bike going 45mph? What speed should I hit this at???

Re: NEED HELP WITH 2nd GEAR WHEELIES
Haven't used the rear brake at all. Tried standing on a couple of 1st gear ones but I'm more comfortable doing them sitting down. I can ride 1st gear wheelies out with just the throttle but I haven't touched the rear brake yet. I can't shift gears when doing wheelies either. Should I start practicing how to stand on my 1st gear wheelies before I move on to second gear?

I've wheelied two 600 gixxers a newer one and a older one, just more gas and the clutch, no need to bounce or anything. just get use to it through practice.
