Re: Best sprockets?

http://www.sprocketspecialists.com doesn't make a steel rear for the 04 R6
the best they have is the titan tough anodized aluminum ones for $100
I'd rather spend $40 on steel, but it'd be at least 4 months.
If I go +4 in the back can I use the stock chain?

Re: Best sprockets?

u couldn't do +4 n keep stock chain, unless you went down -2 in front i believe. im not postive though.

Re: Best sprockets?

u should go -1 in the front, less rotational inertia on the front sprocket n its basicly like going +2 in the rear. with out adding the +2 rotational rear sprocket mass n what not. less chain, less mass, etc.. alittle tooth helps out in a efficiant way.

Re: Best sprockets?

thanks for the help I appreciate it
If I went -2 front I should still be able to use the stock chain.
I'm on the stock 50t rear and don't want that thing falling apart on me.
should I even be worried about that?

Re: Best sprockets?

I meant to say -1 but would -2 work as well?
I'm not sure if thats too much

Re: Best sprockets?

you'd have to remove a few links from your chain. loose chain is a no no, if that chain falls off the sprockets it can n will ruin your CASE n trash ur motor.
