Make a 900rr to a stuntbike

Just bought a 900rr (cant afford a f4i) and gonna build it to a stuntbike.
Do I have to do anything with the oil pickup or run more oil or something?
What cage do you recomend?
What gearing do you guys recomend? Will be doing circles and parking lot ****..
Yes it is carburated, will I have any problems except when Im 12ing?

-1 +15 is sweet gearing. Run 1/2 quart more oil. Run any cage you want, the motor mount is still going to bust off. It will run on the bar for about 5 seconds, then stall out. Other than that, pimp *** bike with a couch for a seat (tank and actuall seat). I miss mine.

Thanks!
What can I do to prevent the motor mounts not to bust off?
No problem with idle tricks cause of the carb?

get a PROFESSIONAL welder to weld a support brace onto the mounts......

also, i heard rus extremem talk about getting F2's and 900's running on the bar by poking a pin sized hole in the tank, near the triple tree. i don't see what it does but in one of his videos they had an F2 run on the bar long enough for two up bar tricks......

can't wait to see you killing the 900 marcus

It's the mounts on the engine and putting that much heat in the location of the motor will more than likely screw up the engine. I have never seen where anyone has found out how to prevent it 100%. Keep your cage bolts tight and that will help.

like i said, get a PROFESSIONAL welder to do it.

nuclear welders have to weld two pipes together, with a rubber gasket inbetween them, WITHOUT burning up the gasket.

imagine sticking two of those together and welding them together without burning up the "consumable insert".......

it can be done

What you know about nuclear welding? Nuclear **** is all stainless steel, not cast AL. Huge differences in the heat trasfer and the porosity of the material. Just keep your bolts tight and try not to pancake it too often.

Re: Make a 900rr to a stuntbike

I had a 905 cage on my 900rr, my motor mounts are fine although the cage is trashed. I wouldn't poke any holes in your tank, the bike quits running on the bar because at that angle the floats in the carburetors are no longer able to stop the flow of fuel into the float bowls, they overflow and flood the motor. What has worked for me is to use a fuel pressure regulator between the fuel pump and the carbs. Turn it down so that it is restrictive enough to allow just enough fuel pass through to keep the bike running. It works like a champ, when you are done with slow stuff crank it back to your normal setting and ride (it will lean out on the highway other wise). Good luck and have fun.
