I don't know what to tell you I have a f4 carb and it's all stock and I 12 slow on it I do have the idle up to 4500 or 5000 because of the stock gearing the only thing is that it floods on endos that **** for me

so maybe i need to try and get a new float needle and seat.
the bike will idle fine its just when it is up if i go to recover from say hitting the brake to hard or just losing the bp when i go to get back on the gas it wont take it for a sec and then it does almost like it is skippin from no gas not bogging like it is flooded

Re: how to keep a carb bike running on 12

Never messed with 9 but f2/3/f4s don't have adjustable float levels, so there's nothing to get out of adjustment. Pretty sure the 9 is unadjustable as well. Most likely you either have a worn out float valve that's flooding it or you got some dirt in there that's not letting seat or open right and it's either flooding or starving it. Another thing could be your pump too. It could have went bad but open so it's still getting gravity fed until you go to 12 then you got no gravity feed or pump.

Either way check make sure the pump is pumping, then pop the bowls off the carbs and make sure all is well in there. All the floats should be moving freely and resting at the same level. If one or more are not quite right you have a problem.

12's shouldn't be a problem and all mine don't have any problems. The endos are the trouble for carbs cause all the fuel sloshes forward then the valves open up and it starts filling the carbs. When you set it down they're flooding it out.

Good luck.

A few of my riders ride 900RR's and they do 12bar trick.. They dont flood out at all.
