How to do rolling burnouts?

I have seen people do rollin burnouts and make it look so easy I tried it a while back and almost wiped out good thing I was going slow.
I was going about 15 mph in first and I pulled in the brake hard enough to bite and gave it gas the wheel spun briefly Ithink but the rear shifted right and on its side I qiuckly got off the throttle it straitened out and up

.wrong position maybe
'
I was slightly off the seat does this matter should I only be on the pegs and leaning foward . Does gera matter?.I have got alot to learn .Any tips

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

Try it from a slower speed. i learned from doing them from a stop and then slowly rolling forward. Then I got the hang of that I moved to donuts. Just make sure you let the clutch out all the way and control the burnout with the front brake. Dont spin the tire too fast. Just fast enough to keep it spinning. the faster it spins the harder it is to control. Spin too slow and the nice hot tire will hook and sent you into a speedy wheelie! lol

There is a burnout how to at the bottom

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

Thanks my friend did that very same thing he let out the brake too much and the tire was spinning too fast he went into a fast rising wheelie ! I am going to try rolling it from a stop slowly . I got to get use to the bike moving around under me I have only done burnputs locking the bike with my legs how do I control side to side sway when my feet are off the ground ?

I wonder how some guys do stationary burnouts standing on the pegs that looks hard. When I first saw that i thought it was an illusion or he had a kickstand down that looks sick!

Cool Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

feet on the pegs creep'n in a standup put some pressure on the front brake not much 40%(still roll'n), do alittle hop to take weight off the rear tire, at the same time pop the clutch - get the tire spinning while your weight's off the rear, and when ya come down your tire's hurt'n and your on your way...if your too hard on the brake your tire will start chopp'n, be smooth........dip it into a circle burn, harder on the brake tighter the circle, let off to open it up, faster the rear is spinning the faster it comes around.....Lean it down, I always lock my outside leg and the inside stays bent abit..... keep on the throttle or your get bucked...... my .02 from the eastcoast.

Took me 3weeks to get circle burns down..tuff but addicting..

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

do it feet over, that way all weight is on front a lot easier to learn.

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

dude keep your finger over the clutch and if you fell like it's not going the way you want it pull it in thats safer then trying to ride it out

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

ill give it a go.

what do you mean by feet over?

I didnt realize i had to use the clutch(I know i must cover it just in case) since im already moving plus I like to keep my idle around 1700 so why need to pop the clutch and throttle , shouldnt i be able to roll while braking and then crack the throttle as i am leaning foward?

meaning feet over front.highchair.or whatever else u want call it.and make sure your tire spins faster, less chance for it to hook.

Re: How to do rolling burnouts?

Pop that clutch to start the burn, much easier and you don't have to fight the front from slid'n down the lot when that rear is try'n to hook..pwr-burns...
