Pro-wheelies can be done slower.
Con-bike is twitchier
con-top end is reduced.

Pro: Less stress on the engine & clutch.
Con: can't dip from 5.0.

ps: not that anybody does or anything.

Re: The pros and cons of a big *** sprocket?

added vibration at any speed over 50 mph
you can only go about 30 miles on a tank of gas
bike becomes fun to ride

Still use the clutch, but you can be a little lazier with it. Ex: if you only clutch it up half way, thats ok because it will only cost you 20 feet to power it the rest of the way.

right, im +24 clutching is effortless. i rarely power them up cuz it comes up way to fast. alot of times it goes way past bp from all the momentum
i learned to wheelie wit the clutch so it feels more natural to me

Re: The pros and cons of a big *** sprocket?

those big sprockets really kill your chances of leading the pack on track days

hahaaahhaahahahahahahahhahahahaa...........someone take a caged, bike with -2/+28 to the track and try to race it with "stunt" gear(hoodie, jeans, old ripped up shoes, and a cracked helmet)
