whats a good gearing ratio for a 600 if you still want it streetable?

i think +10 is definitely the most i'd go with, although i know nothing since i'm stock geared..... i've got a -1 +3 that i might change over to.

Me, -1 +18... thats what I learned the clutch on... Flipped it once, but finally got the hang of it... now I have to slow em down!

It's hard to say if you should learn stock first or not...

Pro: You're going slower and can bring it up with the same effort as when you're going faster on stock gears.. so if you do screw up, it hurts less.

Con: It's twitchy, but you can always use higher gears to smoothen it out a bit until you get used to it.

you probably are forced to learn throttle control quicker with big gears... or at least brake control.

i've got a -1 +3 gearing sitting at my house for my 636.... does anyone know how much diff. i'll see? i'm about to start slow stuff, and i still don't want to be tach'd up too high on the street. will this setup work for me, or should i use less gear.

You'll prolly love it, you're used to stock already.. so it won't be a ridiculous jump.. it'll just give the bike more kick.

giga its a 22 up and you will love it i put it on after running a 10 up and its like night and day ......im putting a 20 up on my new bike ,,,see you at sw

it's because it's a 636, and the 636 is a monster and does everything better, including engine brake

I learned on +10 now when i jump on another stock bike it feels wierd

That'll be like a dream for ya even on the street i ride my +10 everywhere even on the highway.

i dont know what everyone is talking about in all these theads but i noticed almost no difference as far as twichyness....

im -2+10 on a 600 now... but im going back down in the spring cause i need to ride on the highway to get to school and my bike will probubly only do like 60 now

you could always ride the 50 to school just kidding that would be a sight tho, you going down the highway on a with a backpack.

-2 +10 can do highway easy. ****.. my boy on the ace runs was rocking out the +22 sprocket on the highway lol. you'll be fine with that on

i have -1 +6 for my gixxer that ive never put on, trying to learn slow stuff should i learn stock or put the +6 on
