Re: coasters?

first off, you need to be going faster than the slow stuff

you bring it up, go past balance point and pull in the clutch

and use the break to stop from flipping but not enough to have it come all the way down

it will take some time to get, just keep trying

and until you do, if you hit the break to hard, let the bike come all the way down, dont try and save it..... but after a while you will be able to clutch it back up while in the wheelie if you hit it to hard

Get past the ballance point and pull in the clutch. You want to be just past the ballance point. Work the brkae to keep yourself there. At first don't bounce the bike off the limiter or rev it up at all. Inexperiance cause you to do some dumb ****. I know in one thread here about a dozen guys said this all bit them when they first learned.

use first to start till you can carry em out... if your hittin the bar your to high... you need will find that theres a spot that the bike will just float and you will bearly need to tap the break now and then to keep it there

just keep practicing, it might take time

Re: coasters?

i've been practicing engine brake coasters. i'll get into the high RPM's in first gear and float it way back and get off the gas completely and barely on the brake. doesn't seem as cool as a coaster but yeah im gonna pull in the clutch soon enough.

Re: coasters?

I'm just starting, can do maybe 10feet. I noticed it's easiest first to just drive BP, then go past and slow down the speed. When you get this slowing down on lock, then just pull the clutch at the point it's slowing down. with stock gears first gear and maybe 5000rpm.

If you are rolling steady throttle and are past the BP against the brake. Then the clutch pull don't affect anything. Usually you go soon forward and the front starts to drop. then release the clutch and give throttle to land it smooth.

Re: coasters?

I Just Ride Bp Then I Blip It Past The Bp And Pull The Clutch In At The Same Time Standing Staggered.dont Hit The Brake To Hard Or You Will Mousetrap It Causing It To Slam Down Really Hard Which Can Toss You Over The Front, Tankslap, Ect. HOPE THAT HELPS SOME.

staggered is best for long distance stuff. and revin is bad unless you have your **** together. if i remember i'll post up a pic later of when i ****ed up and let the clutch out too soon while revving that ****. best to learn this one on a quad 1st if you can. oh and make sure you have a strong left index finger.

get it back pull in the clutch and be easy on the brake
