this yfz we built is pretty damn fast.

 

this one is a 470 big bore we did.

 

this one we built is a stock bore high comp,ported ,web drag cammed yfz.it placed 3rd in the 4 stroke wars stock bore class.

 

I Own An 05 Yfz. Stock For Stock There Is Nothing That Touches The Yfz. Sure You Can Save Money And Buy A Z And Sink The Money You Saved Into It To Try To Get It To Run With The Yfz. But The Owner Of The Yfz Who Hopefully Knows His Stuff Will Knwo All Of The Trick To Getting The Absolute Most Horsepower Out Of The Yfz Before Dropping A Dime In Aftermarket Parts. Removing The Airbox Lid, Jetting, Chaning Your Main Jet And Pilot Jet, Chaning Your Neddle Position, Air Fuel Mixture, Retarding Your Timing To 13 Teeth Between The Marks Instead Of 14, Maybe Dropn Some Money On An Exhaustand Cdi. These Are All What I Did And Of All The Quads I Have Raced And Friends Who Have Money Into Their Banshees And Other Quads I Still Have Yet To Be Beat. I Know My Day Will Come When Something Smokes Me And Walks Away From Me. But Until Then For The Money That I Have Spent In Extras And The Performance It Gives Me I Am More Than Happy. Why Would You Want To Buy Something From The Showroom Floor That The Second You Go Out And Ride It And Race Someone Your Gona Get Smoked. Start At The Top And Keep Going. 2nd Place Is Just The First Place Loser.

 

I've been around this site for awhile now,just reading and checking out all the sick videos some of you have been putting up.Nice work. Anyhow i decided it was time for me to post up on this topic.
The guy that said he smokes yfz's with his stock Z,that aint happening. I own a 04' Z(hmf full exhaust system,pro flow with k&n,stage2 hot cams,over rev cdi,drz base gasket mod to bump up the compression,and jetted of course).I ride with a yfz. After doing all this work(and his being stock)it narrowed up the gap a little,but by no means am i "smoking" a yfz. The yfz450 or trx450 are amazing quads. As stated before these are the only truely race ready(motocross)quads since the famous 250r. I bought my Z just thinking i was gonna be doing a little trail riding(have the bike for the track) but soon i found myself addicted to quads and sinking a ton of coin into my Z.So you wanna race quad right off the dealer floor? Hands down that is the yfz or trx.Want a stunt/trail/play quad? Z or any of the other clones dvx,kfx,400ex,raptor,pred(of course the yfz or trx will also work,personal prefrence).

first off it we all know which bike would win off the floor. but it doesnt fkin matter which is which if u dont have the right rider on the machine. u could get a gncc pro to ride a stock z400 and he would spank someone who is new to racing on a 450. rider is everything. sure the speed makes a difference. also, u dont have to spend alot to get a z400 to hang with z 450. all u gotta do is get a 453 big bore kit from ct racing, which is about 1800? i think. so the difference isnt really that major considering the prices out right now. suspension isnt too much diff either. the z400/kfx have reservoir shocks on them now. all up to the rider imo.

 

I like the z400 but im only stunting if im going to race it has to be on somethig that goes faster than 140mph any quads that fast.

I mean i have seen the yfz in action and i think it runs circles around the z400. I mean i personally own a Honda 400ex and I LOVE IT!! but i mean i personally would buy the YFZ cause i juss heard and have seen it in action. But that is juss my worth.

 

Wat the hell did the YFZ rider do, race in 2nd, my YFZ smoked everything around.... with a 78mph top speed, and the z400 is like 73mph, and the rapotr is around 75mph.... no compition, and they handle a hell of alot better, trust me, i used to have a z400.....<< nice bottom end torque tho, but never stand a chance in drag race

 

well 50% is rider, but not when it comes to top end

Thats funny cause i race a new 08 yfz 450 and a ltz 400 couldnt keep up with me if i took out 4 and 5th gear homey. try racing someone that knows how to ride.

ive race BUILT z400 and still wooped them horribly!!
i actually have a buddy with a built 1 on a 40 shot of spray
and off juice its not even a race! and im stock bore, stroke, etc. just intake exhaust.
so if u can back up ur big mouth LETS RACE!!!

i do admit its 50% rider. so my guess is all u guys are racing some guys that cant ride worth a crap!! any decent rider on a YFZ SPANKS any z400

run that bike at the track and tell me what u run!!! i guarantee my times are 1-1.5 second faster in the 1/8 mile
my cuzin with his "almighty LTR" cant even stand a chance and that kid CAN RIDE!!!

 

if u boys want to drag race the banshee is KING. as much as i hate 2 admit it they are cheaper 2 build than a 2stroke and have more potential!!
unless ur talking a motor swap!!!(which is SICK busa motor on a shee!!!!)

 

****... YFZ is def a lot better then anything else in my opinion. I have raced many LTZ 400's and Honda 400's, and not to mention a z400.... but hell, I would have to admit, the only thing faster then my YFZ would have to be my quadracer, but ONLY because of the powerband being more steady because of being FI. Hell, I had to put a bigger drive sprocket on my LTZ because the ****** would stand right up on 12 with barely any throttle. Also, the holeshots would help, either.... Anyways, Banshee, How would you know? I race my YFZ at the Dade City races every week, and I come in 1-3 places..... and the only machines that are ahead of me in my same class is another YFZ. Why is it that LTZ's are always in the rear?
