I've had my ex 5th gear to the rev limiter in a sitdown wheelie, which is probably close to that fast.

RedRizza from our crew does 5th gear pinned on his 440EX. He's been clocked for miles in a car around 60mph. I'm pretty sure Lanphear is doing em close to that speed as well. However, I know that both guys are NOT doing them on the grab bar. #1.... takes less skill than balancing a quad. #2... it can be very dangerous if the bar caught and flipped the quad.

My bone stock 400EX could do em in 5th all day long. Just keep your arms straight, lean way back, keep the front low and cover the brake. The faster you go the easier they get. 5th gear at the ballance point takes almost no throttle movement. Goodluck.

Keep at it Bro. Sounds like you've almost got it. One dude I stunt with rocked a 5th gear Sit down all the way down at our Local Dragstrip and he ran like a 18.1 at 55mph. When you think your ready, try rolling in 5th and throwing both feet over the bars!

i havent tried over the bars yet.i can do 5th gear wheelies and hit the balance point n put in the clutch n stay there but i wanna try it like this put my feet up on the grab bar while riding to 60 mph keep one foot down for gears and then put it back up and give her bring it up and do that for awhile with no brake (so i have to be carefull about the balance point i go to far im screwed but other wise its good back) and then come back down n i would of done it all i got to do is work my way up on the speed well if anyone has any pics or vid's plz post them. thx

I do them standing on the seat in 5th gear. I dony know how fast i am going but it is fast. It is alot more fun to rev out fith gear and put it on the bar i can drag like 450' on the bar it is pimp

theres a big difference between standing on the seat and having your feet inbtween the grabt bar and plastics but that sounds sweet

did you meen u can do a scrape 5th with your feet on the handle bars all at once?

im nicked the bar in 5th gear... pretty neat but like CVB said.. the bar can catch a corner and kinda "spin" causing the quad to start "waddeling" so to speak and then it gets ugly...

Yea, 5th gear on the seat is kinda wierd. My quad doesn't have enough grunt to pull itself back up if I let it get to low in the balance point. I can Rock them all day long in 4th though and just keep it balanced. We still have to find a good long straight spot for some 5th gear ****.

thats exactly what i did. but i was beeing dumb as hell and not covering the brake! i had my right foot in the bar and left to run the shifter. i was riding them for miles. fun as hell! the last run i made i was crusing along in 4th and i thought the motor was reving a little hard so i shifted in to 5th and that ***** jumped back on that bar. i instanly threw my left foot down on the bar so i could put all my weight on it to slow it down. while it was starting to slow down i went to throw my right leg up to tap the brake i hit a crack in the rode. my brand new 4wheeler that i got 2 weeks ago was flying in the air!!!! all in all i have to replace all 4 wheels, rear axle, front right spindle, handle bars and a front bumper! o ya my *** fukin hurts so bad
