well yeah i got one and the frigging cracked along the weld down the whole side of the box anyone had this prob and if you ever thought bout buying one dont cuz its only been on for bout 4 hours riding timeand the beotch busted i think theres anutter company that makes one and its better but oh well??? funk it im going staight filter

why exactly did you get a aluminum air box? originaly racers used to use them to relocate the battery on the bikes and to try and save weight.

450's run the best with stock air box this includes lid, box and filter. You can trust me on this one, they do have good engineers at honda

If I were going to do any fabricating on that thing I would have first replaced that hollow subframe imagine what a choped up stop sign could do for that

thats all ive used it for... hc scrapes and **** never flexed the sub at all yet

Damn you must have the only model the labor monkeys at honda actually put together right. my buddys 400 got set back once decently hard and broke the subframe right off

looks like his has a "factory" bend to it....
mine held up well on the first z, and this one so far... i never re-enforced the fist z, and havnt this one yet...

There's prob a ton of wrecks at the intersection where you "found" your new airbox

Not to say I haven't fabricated parts out of traffic signs-but I usually go for deer crossings or no u turn signs.

^^ haha na my dad took the sign one of the construction sites he was at... nobody looks at those signs anyway
