When you own an 01 raptor that is supposed to have the upgraded trans gears, and it decides to break 2nd or 3rd (can't remember) anyways. I had only ridden it about 3 hours since I've owned it. I'm pretty pissed. I don't really have the money to fix it and I don't want to have a toy that I can't play with because it's broken, so I may let 'er go how it is. Here's what it took to get back to the truck. I think I'll get a Honda next time if I get another quad.

that sucks man. looks like its still pretty nice, maybe you'll change yer mind afterwhile and get an ebay motor and fix it for cheap.

 

Sorry to hear about that dude. I am Yamaha man myself, but I like the Honda's too, I wouldnt mind a Z though. Not to bust ur chop's but I thought ur picture was kinda funny, think of it like this.....My took a great OWN3D picture lol.

Why dont you see if you can snag another motor cheap off of ebay?

 

I posted the pic for it's humor. Anyways, an update on the situation...I yanked the engine out and tore it down. It only needs one of the gears in the trans, so I already ordered it. Only gonna cost $40 and gaskets. Pretty damn cheap if you ask me.

I never was too impressed with the raptor....of course then again who gives a $hit about my opinion so........
