My 900RR was Euro spec, my CBR 1000 is US spec, the F4i is US spec, and the Suzuki is Canadian spec. Most of my customers have US, Euro, and Canadian spec bikes as well. A few are J-Spec but most are not. Only the 400cc and 500cc tend to all be J-Spec.

Dont feel bad, Foxgirl, you arent alone in living in an area where people have an anti-ATV attitude. My neibors call the cops any time someone has their quad out (even if that person is merely plowing their driveway or hauling their ice fishing gear down to the lake), yet they drive around in their golf carts all the time and see NOTHING wrong with that. (hypocritical, yah!)
The Cheese County Trail used to be fun, but now they limit you to 30 mph and to me, thats not fun.
My parents live in Minocqua, WI and they have all kinds of ATV trails in that area. People up there dont like ATVs either, but money talks.
What you need to do is just buy a hobby farm, rent out the land (if you dont want to be a farmer) and just build your own MX track.

Proven fact that a 2-stroke on average will only go half as long between rebuilds as a 4-stroke.
It has to do with the fact that pure oil is a better lubricant than a gas/oil mixture.

Not Matt and Mikes 4 strokes they get rebuilt every time they relize they forgot a gasket and are leaking oil.
All that valve train bullsh1t...I don't know
It two strokes didn't last they wouldn't have put them in semi tractors

There must be something good about 2-strokes because they've been making Banshees for almost 20 years now.
Before the 400ex came out in 99 no one gave a **** about 4-stroke quads (I know I didn't) Now 4-strokes are they way to go.
2 or 4 stoke I dont care, but all I know is I would love to have a street legal quad. :YEAH

Ohhh, like a valve adjustment is hard. It takes about 5 minutes and if you have an engine that is DOHC it will almost never need adjustment.
I know people who have raced their YFZs for 2 years now and have never had to adjust the valves.
I used to own a '97 Polaris Scrambler 500 and in the 3 years that I owned that quad (and beat the living he*l out of it), I never adjusted the valves.

Re: Japan did it!!
True, the bike ran so great and the local Polaris mechanic said that as long as it started easy and didnt run weird to not worry about it.
Besides, that engine only turned 6,000 rpm, so its not like it even bounced the valves all that hard. Its not like some of the 4-stroke sport quads we have nowdays that turn 8,000-11,000 rpm.

Re: Japan did it!!
Only reason i cant see ridin a 2 stroke on the street is because of the higher speeds all the time. And staying in the powerband for a long time cant be good for the motor. I suggest you get a new raptor 700 and lower it and get some street tires. Gear it up a tad and it be the perfect bike to cruise.
