yea Keshon, I can rock a mx track with a twist, Up till last year I was racing all three. GNCC crosscountry, TT and motocross.
I was just saying on a deer trail racing for 3 hrs. straight.hill climbs and all; I need to be able to manhandle the bars alot more and took less out of the old man to do those.
Now on a flat track or tt coarse with the bars turned all the way in one direction and me hanging off the bike in the other I couldn't even use the thumb I didn't have the angle on the bars to depress the throttle all the way. So I have to use the twist for that.

I don't believe it will help at all stuntin. If anything it will prob hinder you.

Like schooler said It might help the transition to big bikes unless you have already been riding and racing them for 20 years by then you will have figured it out.

People always come into this forum thinking that we all aspire to move up to stunting 2 wheel bikes. Some of us already DO have already been there and love what we are doing now. This condisending attitude get's anoying at times.

How about reverse shift paterns? It's a big help racing superbikes, and there is only one factory racer who uses the traditional shift pattern ( although he is the 5 time in a row champ) So whatever works best for you I guess ?

Re: Anyone rocking a twist throttle?

i agree like catman said other than i ride dirt bikes , four wheelers , street and etc and i think in my 2 quads for stunting a thumb is better . i just recently put a twist on my 400ex and thats my trail , stunt , wheelie for days quad and now it kinda sucks, going to swap bck soon . the dam thing sticks and twist to dam far for stunting . its hard to ride em like a thumb and blimp the throttle and fck around. i thought it was going to be like my other bikes like a quater turn but its like a half and thats just to much for playing around. but when it comes to trails and track riding ur more able to hang on and pass ur buddys in the most rutted nasty spots . i got a yfz450 and i couldnt ride the bike to its full potental on the track with out twist but thats my track bike not my play quad.
