Just curious? New to quad stunting and it felt a bit akward, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. What tire pressure do you guys run?

 

I used the twist for tt racing, but didn't work well for me stuntin

I run about 3lb. of air, but I rarely go out to just stunt

 

Using a twist throttle made me look like a blind 10 yearold girl with one arm trying to stunt a moped! It'll really dog yer skills

As for tire psi, I use "0" but that's nothing you wanna be doing 5th gear windscreens on,I rock tha slow shoit

Stick with the thumb throttle. Just my opinion.

 

WTF? Never heard a dirtbike/motorcycle rider complain about a twist throttle being too hard to use

 

offroading, hairscramble's, trail riding, they suck !! FOR ME
you have to manhandle the bars on a QUAD too mutch and not wise to race trails with a twist of the wrist. I'de kill myself and I've been at it a LONG time. Diff. story all togeather on 2 wheels.

Now flat trackin or tt .......... GREAT for that !!!!!!

 

takes a little gettin used to ,but i race mx on a 250r and love the twist throttle!

 

i didnet even know you could get a twist throttle for the atv's wtf... hey i twist my wrost , im not complaining...

 

i hate twist throttles... but thats prolly jud cuz all ive ever owned are ATVs

 

I bought one and put it on for one session out.

I coulda gotten used to it, but thumb is much easier.

I got so used to the thumb throttle i was thinkin of tryin to rig up a thumb throttle on the stuntbike

Going from bike to quad, i use a twist throttle. I couldnt get used to a thumb throttle.

 

Same here i got a twist throttle on mine, i can't do thumb throttle at all. I rode my quad with a thumb throttle for the first 2 weeks and didn't like it at all. And i blast through trails with it and don't have any problems

 

It's rocking endos out that gets me f'in hard with a twist I think That and doing wheelies... if you got a high power machine it's hard to let off when yer getting yanked back

 

It all comes down to what feels comfortable to you I think. I like thumb on quads personally but i like the twist on bikes.

 

learn twist on a quad..it will help you on a motorcycle

I've been riding bikes for hella long, when i got a quad i just couldn't do the thumb at all, thats why i got a twist for it, i am most comfortable that way. do whatever you feel.
