Re: Black ink problems

I have a tattoo on my lower back - tribal design, mostly black with a little purple in the middle
Wow, sounds like mine. Mine is celtic knotwork, black on the outside and a big purple knot in the middle. I'll have to have someone get a pic of it for me.

It's not cancer and we're not going to die
Whew...what a relief! j/k
I knew I couldn't be the only person this ever happened to.

Re: Black ink problems

i'm a tattoo artist and when that happens its generally 1 of 2 things, one the artist is using a black ink that is to thick and needs to be diluted like voodoo, thus making it harder to take to the skin which means overworking the area and scarring, or two he just sucks and he's diggin too deep..........check out www.magicneedletat2.com and look for ronnie

Nice shop, but I sincerely doubt that I will be heading to TX for my next tat. I have someone else in mind that is local here, and does super work. But it is a really clean and nice looking place!

Re: Black ink problems

I'm glad to hear someone else say it hurt like hell. Everyone I talk to says "Nah, it didn't hurt". LIES!!!!! It felt like a hot exacto blade carving into my back! 2 hrs and 15 min of pure torture. But it's worth it.

I tried to get my 5 year old to take a pic w/ the digital camera, but it didn't work out. Imagine that....

Re: Black ink problems

yeah Ive heard that some did - like a BIATCH too....But to me really it felt like a cap from a pen being scrapped across my back.

The guy who did the outline had a very heavy hand now that was a lil bothersome but it was very tolerable. Hell When I was getting my color Patrick Stephens was in the chair next to me and he was makin more faces and noises than I was....big baby! LOL

Re: Black ink problems

My hubby (who has no tats) was sitting in front of me mouthing "p*ssy", "you skirt", "wuss". So that wasn't helping. But it did hurt like all get out. And it wasn't my first, so it wasn't like I didn't know what was about to happen either. I would like more on my back, but don't know if I can handle it.
