DOH! Sunday me & AOD went out riding. was a blast, it rained like a mother all day saturday so the trails were nothing but mud. I sunk that monster to the fenders, over the exhaust through giant sections of rivers, mud, trails with OUT putting it into 4 wheel drive. On the way back I start to get a bad bad noise. So i stop once, then stop twice. Shake the wheel & it feels like its going to fall off. Oh wait, it was. all the lug nuts backed off & I lost one, the others were on by a thread or 2. So we tighten it up, think its good.

All downhill from there. I start to get a slight noise, like the giant knobbies were hitting the plastics - could feel it through the whole machine. Then it got worse, and worse, and worse. Were out in no where - so I just keep riding. Already broke it, why not keep going. Gets to the point where AOD is behind me and can hear it just SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH every rotation. Trying to nurse it home, you have to cross a river, get 1/2 way down the river, water over the floor boards and the machine just starts to rev, I thought I was stuck so I held it wide open. a big POOF of smoke & I go no where. Im in the middle of a river, my brand new quad is just sitting there. F.uck. I get pulled out, trailered back to AOD's house. Machine won't go into 4x4, drive or reverse - and the "belt" light isn't on telling me I lost a drive belt. Oh boy. Tomorrow is "D" day, its going into cycle center.

The f'n quad only has 12 hours on it INCLUDING the 1/2 day we did sunday. Nothing like a brand new $12,000 quad needing a new tranny. MERRY X mas!

dont tell them your running water ....i was a service writer and have seen many a warranty jobs shot down from the factory for water....ie all terrain doesnt mean under water

 

I have the factory tires, I think im going to put them on in the morning , drain the oil & diff. fluids & bring it over. If i give them a reason to deny me, they will. Buy how can this piece of **** blow a tranny in 1/2 a day?

giant pain in the ***! From what I heard the factory warranty is like 6 months long, im CLOSE as **** to that. If this is what I get from ONE ride, im gonna fix it & trade it in. These were supposed to be bullet proof....... we'll see.

and i wouldnt bitch to much about the lugs falling off.. they will just read you your manual .....and remember the dealership doesnt realy care if its covered by the warranty or not ,they just want to get paid, so be nice to the service guy and he will try harder to get it covered by the factory

btw carnes you should just leave this quad in your shed, and get full coverage and hope for the worst

do you know a condo complex called lake clark gardens? my parents, my aunt/uncle, and my gradmother all have condos there. i honestly try not to go there because i dont like florida, and when i do go, i fly so i cant bring a bike. but i'll come hang out and take video next time
