Track riding
Re: Track riding
No. The wood will rot on them all if it's allowed to stay wet. The carpet does not protect the wood, it actually hurts it by holding water. Newer and nicer boats don't have wood floors. The bayliners have very thin hulls and bottom of the line components. They are entry level boats.
get an old boat from a good manufacturer if you cant afford anything better than a bayliner.
Re: Track riding
did some test driving last night ... vw cc is pretty sweet ... diesel jetta is alright - needs a tuner ... subaru legacy is pretty sweet and surprisingly luxury like inside
still debating on an audi a4 ...

Re: Track riding
we go, we give each of the kids $10 to spend on games. that lasts them about an hour, then they spend another 45 minutes in the "store" deciding which piece of candy to redeem their tickets for. $20 total for the night, i have captain and coke at home
Re: Track riding

And I found a sick swiveling target with 4 steel plates that was only a half mile from my car, after I loaded my bike back on my trailer I went back in for it......no more shooting cans at my boys house!!
Re: Track riding
ok I need some advice.....
I was riding yesterday and going down a steep rocky trail......got pushed between a tree and a rock and landed on the shifter on the rock side......it bent the shifter into a U and tweaked the shifter rod back......I was able to fix the shifter with a hammer. How bad is it on the shifter rod piece?? It still works but is it gonna break down the road?

Re: Track riding
that could be an expensive repair. If it didnt break then, its probably not gonna break down the road...Unless you whack it real good again, even then its a maybe. that shaft is good steel, the lever is cheap steel or aluminum and is meant to break first.
Re: Track riding
Should I try to put a breaker bar on the rod and bend it back or just leave it alone? That's really what I was wondering.....
Re: Track riding
Yeah I stopped at the dealership on the way back since it was on the way....guy basically said the same thing but he didn't come out and look at it or anything......said if it didn't break when it happened it should be ok.......he said the aluminum BBR shifter would snap if I tried to bend it back but it didn't and I really had to beat on it to get it back into shape.

also might want to pick up a spare shifter. im also surprised it didnt snap when you bent it back. its been weakened twice now, so be ready.
