Track riding
Re: Track riding
well, the outside half of the rotor is completely gone, while the inside half is still there. that means the inside pad wasnt doing its job, possibly frokm being soaked in oil or something. im personally amazed that the backing plate of the outer pad is still there.
Re: Track riding
Talking about the stock one.
I didn't get it finished, but I progressed quite a bit.
Still to do:
get hardware for the exhaust "U" and bolt it on
get intake nuts and washers and install
Get spark arrestor and install with carb
route and connect fuel lines, choke and throttle cables
Route and hook up fuel lines
Plug in wires correctly
install battery
try to fire it up

Re: Track riding
usually the piston will push the inner pad against the rotor which will cause the caliper to slide and that puts pressure on the outer pad but some times the caliper doesnt slide very well so you take your foot off the brake and the inner pad releases but because the caliper didnt slide the outer pad stays pressed against the rotor ..
Re: Track riding
yesterday we saw a guy on a jet ski sinking, in the bay. a ferry stopped to pick him up, there was about 8" of the nose of his ski still above water.
