No not really. I was only ******* with you. What I gathered from being in is a lot of the people that went in were just ******* dorks that never got laid in high school and had something to prove to everyone by going in the Marines. Not everyone was like that but you can tell the ones that were dorks in HS and then they get promoted and treat everyone like **** and are total douche bags.

that happens a lot...but I got what I wanted.....I aced the test they said I could do anything I wanted and being the angry lil boy I was I told them I wanted to run thru the woods and shoot ****....and I wanted the biggest gun.....I was a M60 gunner in the Infantry.
Since then I've told everyone that has ever wanted to join to join an MOS that teaches you a skill.....being an excellent shot, able to break down the pig underwater and blindfolded, and excelling at escape and evade games has done nothing to improve my resume......the only thing I gained was a blurb about leadership.

M60 was the first weapon i ever jumped with, then they gave me the 240B. im a combat engineer so i completely hear you on having no resume that translates to the real world. i tell people the same thing you do when they express and interest in the armed forces, don't bother with combat arms unles you're gonna make a career out of it
