I'll save about $50. The main thing is a few modifications that I couldn't get in the ones that are already made (output jack location, bridge setup, neck angle, controls configuration). Also, it gives me something to do.

I have 3 guitars and a bass. I play for fun. I jam a few times a year with my buddy who is a drummer. Other than that, it's just a few minutes here and there. I keep a guitar next to my chair in the living room.
