Detroit auto show ass pic!
Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!
I've pretty much cut all caffeine intake except for excedrin once every few weeks and a monster energy on those mornings where I only slept a couple hours. Although now that I don't go out to the bar, I'm getting a lot more sleep. My energy level hasn't changed a bit.
Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!
i drink 4-6 bottles of water a day, i replaced my morning coffee with one of those bottles of water and a small glass of orange juice. i was so addicted to caffeine it wasn't even funny.....last night was the latest i stayed up in a week or so and it was 10pm
Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!
and niner is right, you shouldn't be drinking that much water a day. it is bad for you and can cause water intoxication and hyponatremia....especially if you're working out a lot. you're losing a lot of water and electrolytes when sweating occurs and if you're not replacing correctly you can become sick

only if you drink distilled water ... normal water, spring water, stuff like smart water all contain electrolytes and you really only need to worry about electrolyte loss if you get no nutrients from food (sodium, potassium, calcium chloride) ... as long as your kidneys work they balance your body correctly - hyponatremia occurs when your kidneys are unable to excrete the excess water, so as long as you still pee you are fine ... if you are working out more and sweating you need to stay hydrated which is why you want to drink more water ...even my sports medicine doctor recommended I increase my water intake ... she said a gallon is more than safe especially to keep the muscles fileld since I lift weights fairly often Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!

sorry beckers, not trying to discount your schooling, but I trust my doctor and the numerous nutritionists I follow ...
and like I said water intoxication and hyponatremia result when a dehydrated person drinks too much water without the accompanying electrolytes ...

p.s.....
The kidneys of a healthy adult can process fifteen liters of water a day! You are unlikely to suffer from water intoxication, even if you drink a lot of water, as long as you drink over time as opposed to intaking an enormous volume at one time. As a general guideline, most adults need about three quarts of fluid each day. Much of that water comes from food, so 8-12 eight ounce glasses a day is a common recommended intake. You may need more water if the weather is very warm or very dry, if you are exercising, or if you are taking certain medications. The bottom line is this: it's possible to drink too much water, but unless you are running a marathon or an infant, water intoxication is a very uncommon condition.

The regular person in America, who does not exercise at all or that rigorously, needs water to lose weight. If the body does not receive adequate amounts (1-2 quarts a day), you will actually start to retain water causing a net gain in weight and the liver to cease metabolizing fat at a normal rate. Basically, your metabolism will slow to a point where fat and water is now being store by the body UNTIL it receives the proper amounts of water.
