Re: Stuntober Fest 2006 {New Location}

the reason for moving the event is due to the track being no good to ride on and lights not working the new location is a hooters track with great surface and the lights actually works, bathrooms are clean plenty of seating and also sky boxes. this is a smaller event than Stuntwars so yes its a bit far to come to this one for you guys. here is the track http://www.usaspeedway.com/

Re: Stuntober Fest 2006 {New Location}

As a rider I realize that alot of competitors left Stuntwars last year dissapointed, frustrated, and pissed off. The track was simply unacceptable. I think the message was pretty clear that major changes needed to be made.

From riding and talking with Adam and Chris I also see the other side of this. Team X-treem could do their shows on the Buells, and make money at stunting and be done with it. An opportunity most of us are still looking for.There is nothing that says they have to put together an event.

Adam and Chris want an event that is open for all riders to qualify and compete. An event that the whole country, and riders from other countries can come to and compete on an even playing field against their fellow riders. Obviously any time you have a comp. of this size you are going to run into complications. Things like weather simply cannot be blamed on the organizers. They are constantly making an effort to better their events from year to year for the riders as well as the spectators.
This year should really change the face of Competition in FL. "Stuntober" will be at a totally new track, new accomidations, new surface, new vendor area, real bathrooms, etc.
Stuntober will greatly foreshadow what Stuntwars '07 is going to look like. The bike show should pull more spectators for the stunting. Spectators that buy DVDs, and T-shirts.

I optimisticly look forward this event at the new track.

Re: Stuntober Fest 2006 {New Location}

I have never been to an event like this, always gone to Bike Week or Biketoberfest, and I'm forgoing those for Stuntwars. I am stoked and already have my rooms at the Hooters Inn, but if you're going to get one you better hurry, they are the best rates by far of any hotel/motel in Lakeland. And I don't even stunt, I'm just glad, after riding big Harleys for 30 years, to keep my Buell upright. I've already convinced several old farts from Savannah to go with me.

If there is only 800ft total then I suggest you make it a 150 or 200ft approach then
