Complete 04 636 build
Just figured I'd throw my 04 636 build up on here for people to see. I've had it about a month and a half now. I didn't manage to get any before pics of it as it was torn down the day after I bought it, but it was a minty green 04 with 12k.
All torn down, frame, subframe, swingarm, and wheels were out being powdercoated wet black with green metalflake.
Parts back from powdercoat. it's hard to see the flake in the pics but its awesome in person!!
better one you can see the flake in.
Startin to come back together. hohey upper triple under a set of SI sidemounts
better shot of the front end. I have since relocated the ignition under the seat so it's outta the way of cables and legs.
Got it rolling again the black definately looks more green on the frame
can't forget about the radiator cage and tail saver and a 62 tooth rear sprocket! got all the wiring back in place and starting to put the tail back together
got the *** end all buttoned up with the si roundbar and an undertail that came with the bike. the brake light is just a led light I had layin around
Next is the tank, I'm leaving the fairings stock green and I want the tank to be clean with no chipped paint. so I decided to have it powdercoated which means my tank can have no bondo. I was pleased with how it came out other than it is a cali emissions tank so I didn't pound the cap down very far because I was afaraid of breaking all the vent lines inside. I first had the tank sand blasted to remove all paint. then mounted it up and started pounding away with a small dead blow and 10 minutes later I had the best dent I've ever done.
After powdercoat I was worried how it would look. I knew there would be little hammer marks but its not too bad. I still have to cover it with stomp grip anyways. it's a little lighter than kawi green but I can live with it.
Here it is mounted on the bike
I decided to go with the fti 3 caliper bracket because I am a fan of touchy brakes I'm running 1 brembo 2 piston for the foot brake and 2 tokico front masters on a brembo 16x18 for the front. I am still waiting on my foot brake caliper...any day now
the top end of the brake setup with a rsc of course
Here's what she looks like now. the seats are out being cut and recovered the exhaust is a hardrock motorsports hr1 can. looks and sounds great and is outta the way. I'm still waiting on a tygershark cage, rear caliper, front brembo 19x18 and some brake lines but hopefully I should be ridin it in the next few weeks!!

Re: Complete 04 636 build
tygershark and si subcage on. I'm only going to run 3/4 fairing just cuz I like the fighter look. the cage and subcage bolted right up in 15 minutes or so and both had great fit. I also got my seats back from js custom interiors and they did an excellent job on the hole and everything looks very professional.
