Quick ? for the WI peeps. I'm movin back from Cali, and will need to find some insurance for my bike. Geico seems fairly cheap out here in Cali, but doesn't give much of a discount for the MW. Anybody have any suggestions for local insurance agencies for a freakin fast sports bike? Any help would be really appreciated.

State farm only charges me (20 years old) $106 a month for full coverage on an 03 RC51.

 

it all depends on your driving record. if its clean you can get cheap coverage. if its screwed so are you. then you get a super high premium.

ABIA (progressive) i have one of the worst possible driving records. just to start i got 22 tickets in two weeks. in those two weeks i igot three reckless driving tickets, avaiding arrest, a few careless, they also gave me a ticket when i crashed once. FTP. I will post the number up tonight. They are the only place that would even insure me. everone else just laghed when they saw my MVR. I paid only $435 for a year for a 900 RR. Thats just liability but if i can get that for that cheap people with good records ought to be able to get even better deals.

 

riiiight, gues that was pretty obvious. i tried to go through geico, they will only cover you if your record has been completely clean for i think its 3 years. alot of places wont even cover sport bikes anymore.state farm is awsome insurance but they dropped me so i was stuck with progressives out rageous *** rates, then i just said **** it, looks like ill just have to not get into an accident on my bike or just not claim it. thats the thing with this damn sport bike insurance. they charge you an arm and a leg or even if you get a good rate. your so afraid of them jacking the rate up or dropping you ya dont make claims anyways, f' it, just save the money ,set it aside to replace all the broken parts. if your gonna stunt it insurance is useless anyways.

 

progressive charged me $120 a month for WI insurance on my duc 748 (1999) and im 18.

then it got stolen

 

when i had insurrance, i paid 500 full coverage a year through state farm

they are the cheapest here in WI, however if you get one major ticket they drop you for 5 years.

 

when did that happen, dont remember yousaying anything about that??

 

Sweet, thanks all. I guess when I get home, I'll be checkin out St Farm, and maybe progressive. Yeah, pretty messed up, geico wants more in WI, than they are charging me in Cali! But, thanks for the fast responses, and good advice.
